Pupil Premium

Background Information

The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers. The money is allocated based on the numbers of pupils in school who have been eligible for free school meals (FSM)  within the last six years or who have left local-authority care (LAC) because of 1 of the following: adoption, a special guardianship order, a child arrangements order, a residence order. This funding currently stands at £1,320 per FSM child and £2,300 per LAC child.
